Das Große Haus is a twelve-minute short film, commissioned by AXIS Festival, Volkstheater Rostock. The film takes a quiet look behind the scenes – offering not a portrait of people, but of the hidden spaces usually concealed from the audience. Spaces where art is produced. Spaces that hold their own kind of voice.

There are no traditional characters. Instead, the building itself takes center stage – silent witness, reluctant storyteller, central performer. It breathes, remembers, and remains still. What lingers are sets, props, traces – etched into walls, floors, staircases like archaeological fragments. Remnants of things that vanish a little each day.
